THE ATLANTA 45 SHOOT OUT 2012
THE ATLANTA 45 SHOOT OUT 2012
It has been some years now since Atlanta has seen or even welcome a Sound clash. Fast Forward to January 15th 2012, and The Atlanta 45 Shoot Out aka Last Man Standing. The Event promoted By Ova Di Wall, Juggla and Kinp AP Promotions created an early buzz based upon the Sounds/DJS that agreed to participate. Returning to the clash arena was Danger Marcus of Disruption Sound as well as Warfile Sound and Returning champion Dappa Lee of Innocent Sound. They were joined By New Comers Uprising Sound and Reptile Sound. One of the most anticipated participants were mysteriously missing from the venue, causing many to speculate that Slaughter Tone Ran from the War. Numbers were drawn and Warfile started the war of 45'S and Words. Warfile started out very strong and fizzled out with Four minutes still left to go. Next Up was Reptile who brought an army of ladies and gentlemen supporters armed with horns and custom made fans. Reptile first round reminded me of a typical party in The partyroom as oppose to a 45 shoot out. Nevertheless it totally satisfied their fans. Danger Marcus and Uprising'S first rounds were non eventful. The defending Champion Dappa Lee came next and he certainly did not disappoint the screaming patrons. If I were keeping a score card at the end of the first round it would have gone like this #1. Dapper Lee (Innocent Sound) #2. Warfile Sound #3. Reptile Sound #4. Danger Marcus (Disruption) #5. Uprising Sound (Mikey Montana)
Round Two and Three passed with Dappa Lee totally dominating Each round But with some emerging life from Mikey Montana (Uprising Sound). At the end of Round two it was a toss up as to who will be eliminated. At the end, Danger Marcus (Disruption Sound) Became the first victim. The rest of the night belong to Dappa Lee including Transforming a slight Boo into Bonefide Forward by acknowledging that the only boo he recognise was his beautiful boo (Lady) position next to him on the stage. Very clever come back indeed.
Dappa Lee and Innocent Sound was decleared the winner but not before a demand for the advertised One For One Round. In the end That round was not needed but was done on a small scale. DRS Congratulate Dappa Lee on a Well deserved Victory and well as the other participants on being a good sport.
